My name is Heidi Haas, and I recently started the blog Sustainability in
the Cities. I am based in the Twin Cities (St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN) and
blog about ways anyone can make their lives more eco-friendly.
Sustainability and living an eco-conscious life has always been
something I was interested in. It wasn’t until my son was born, that I
realized how badly I wanted to help make our world a better place for
him to grow up in.
My blog focuses on simple ways the average person can
make their life more eco-friendly. I have articles on zero-waste tips
room by room in your house, DIY kids items, and simple explanations of
common climate change problems. When I first started reading on how to
make my life more sustainable, and less wasteful it seemed like there
were a lot of resources for people who totally wanted to cut out
plastics, and waste. There didn’t seem to be a lot of simple, little,
yet still, impactful changes the ‘average’ person can make.
This is how I came up with Sustainability in the Cities. While I am based in the Twin
Cities, my articles have tips and ideas for anyone, regardless of their
geographic location.
